A new version of popular Linux video editor OpenShot has been made available to download.
OpenShot 1.4 sees numerous interface and performance improvements, advanced colour correction tools and new audio and video effects plus additional transitions.
Other changes include: –
- Timeline improvements
- Enhancements to the project files tree
- Thumbnail improvements
- Improved title editing
- New keyboard shortcuts

Ubuntu 10.04 though 11.10 users can grab OpenShot 1.4 by adding and installing from the official OpenShot stable PPA: –
Add ‘ppa:openshot.developers/ppa’ to Software Sources (see here for how to do that). Update, then install ‘Openshot’ from the Ubuntu Software Centre.
